Dominican Republic wins awards in several categories of the Travvy 2023 awards
The country is cited in five categories:
- Best Caribbean destination, Bronze recognition
- Best Cruise Destination in the Caribbean, Silver recognition
- Best Caribbean Wedding Destination, Bronze recognition;
- Best Honeymoon Destination in the Caribbean, Silver recognition.
- Best Tourist Office in the Caribbean, Silver recognition.
The Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana Hotel was recognized in the category «Best All-Inclusive Spa and Wellness Resort» and as «Best Spa and Wellness Center in general», both with Gold recognition.
The Majestic Resorts Elegance Punta Cana and Sanctuary Cap Cana were recognized in the category «Best Honeymoon Hotel/Resort in the Caribbean» with Gold and Silver respectively.
In the category «Best All-Inclusive Overall», «Best All-Inclusive Adult/Couples Resort in the Caribbean» and «Best Luxury Hotel/Resort in the Caribbean», the Sanctuary Cap Cana hotel received Bronze recognition.
As «Best all-inclusive family resort in the Caribbean», the Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana hotel was recognized with a Silver award and the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana with a Bronze award.
As «Best all-inclusive luxury hotel in the Caribbean», the Dominican Republic’s Santuary Cap Cana received a Silver award and Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda received a Bronze award, according to Resumen Turismo.
The award ceremony was sponsored by Allianz Partners, Air Canada, ALG Vacations, Grupo Xcaretas, Guanajuato, La Colección, Los Cabos, Majestic Resorts, nanjing, Puerto Vallarta, and Sandos Hotels & Resorts.
